About Us
Avanti (italian for move forward) is a Worcester based driving school founded in 2024. It is quickly emerging as the new central hub for driver’s education. Founded by instructor and former RMV examiner, Alex “Antonio” Granados, Avanti’s multilingual and low cost approach offers world class instruction at hometown prices.
Getting started at Avanti is simple. Adults just need a learner's permit to begin lessons and take the road test. Teens can start the 30-hour classroom course at age 15 years and 9 months. Parents must complete a 2-hour class. At 16, teens can get their permit, then complete 12 driving lessons and 6 hours of observation. After holding the permit for 6 months, they can take the road test to get their license.
The opportunities, independence and freedom of mobility that comes with having a license is invaluable. Yet learning to drive can be a very nerve racking experience for some. We know that students learn best with a calm, patient and positive instructor. We aim to meet each student where they are and tailor our instruction to their needs.
